The autonomic nervous system
Human physiology is geared towards freedom. Just as the heart is an organ of perception, our nervous system is an organ of communication. All nerves are of a sensitive kind, they are spirit-guiding organs that carry the warmth ether, the light ether, the tone ether and the life ether into the human being. They ensure our awareness in the senses and in the body, they enable us to move and they are - besides the hormones - a vital communication system for our health and for our vitality.
With this course you get to know a fund of movement exercises that will help you to support your autonomic nervous system in its diverse tasks and to give your organism the relief it needs to create a good foundation for your health.
The exercises are easy and you will learn many variations. We practice large and small movements, do exercises sitting, standing and walking, and we do and listen alternately. Just like the organism needs.
Why are we offering a course with exercises for the autonomic nervous system right now?
If you take a look at the course, where the replays will be inserted later, you will find several lessons from Theodor in the introduction, in which he describes the vegetative nervous system and its peculiarities, which we will then take up in eurythmy. Because what we want to achieve with the eurythmy exercises is that the body feels understood.

How to practice
Learn the exercises in Lesson 1 and practice them at your convenience for about 15 to 30 minutes a day for a week. A week later, do the same with the level 2 exercises. They are similar, but offer a steady advance to a deeper level. Go through all six lessons like this.
After that, take a break and try other exercises. You will find a lot of material for this in our Request Concerts and in other courses from Eurythmy4you. You can also let go completely and only remember elements of the exercises for the heart every now and then during the day. It is important that you deal with it as relaxed as possible during this time.
After a six-week break, start doing the exercises again and repeat the course from the beginning at a slow pace. One lesson per week. Through the break you have taken, you can rediscover all the exercises anew and make them more and more your own, more personal. Try to practice in a way that make the lessons a whole new experience for you.
If you then take another break of six weeks and repeat the course a third time, you will discover new things again. Then the exercises shown in this course will have their deepest effect.
Eurythmic request concerts
Four times Monday, March 1 to 22, 2021 at 7 p.m. CET
Eurythmy is so diverse. We can explore and get to know this universe together. Experience has shown that this method of working is very pleasant and invigorating. Unpredictable, but deep!
The chat will be activated 10 minutes before the start of the webinar and your wishes will be collected. It can be:
- questions about the health exercises from the previous lessons
- a general question we could work on
- a eurythmical element like a sound, a gesture
- a sequence of sounds or a word
- a sentence or a short meditation
- a health concern
You choose three questions by voting. Theodor looks for an eurythmical answer and practices that with you.
The request concerts are free!
Anyone who registers can take part in the German and English request concerts for free. We will send you the links to the webinars and from time to time our popular Eurythmy4you newsletter.
You do not need any prior knowledge of eurythmy. Everything is shown and explained in detail. We work for about an hour with breaks in between. All you need is some space in front of the screen where you can move around and where you are as private and undisturbed as possible. The exercises are simple and, if you are weak, you can even do them while sitting or lying down or in your imagination.
What you need to benefit from the online eurythmy lesson as much as possible:
- An undisturbed environment. No people to watch you or to take care of.
- Clothes that don't cramp you.
- About two x two meters of space to take part in the exercises.
- Gymnastic slippers, eurythmy shoes or socks for good contact with the floor. Barefoot is also possible, but make sure that your feet are warm.
- A chair where you can sit and listen to the resonance of the exercise.
- A glass of water so that you may drink something in between.
- A keyboard so you can ask questions.
- A PC is more suitable than an iPad or smartphone
You have access to the English and German webinars
The English webinar is on Mondays at 7 p.m., the German webinar at 5 p.m. Your registration is valid for both webinars. This way you are more flexible during the time and can, if necessary, switch to the webinar in another language. You also get access to the replays in both languages.
