Eurythmy with Theodor

Every Monday from September 28 to November 30, 2020 at 7 p.m. CET
When does the webinar start in my time zone?

You do not need any prior knowledge of eurythmy. Everything is shown and explained in detail. We work for about an hour with breaks in between. All you need is some space in front of the screen where you can move around and where you are as private and undisturbed as possible. The exercises are simple and, if you are weak, you can even do them while sitting or lying down or in your imagination.
What you need to benefit from the online eurythmy lesson as much as possible:

  • An undisturbed environment. No people to watch you or to take care of.
  • Clothes that don't cramp you.
  • About two x two meters of space to take part in the exercises.
  • Gymnastic slippers, eurythmy shoes or socks for good contact with the floor. Barefoot is also possible, but make sure that your feet are warm.
  • A chair where you can sit and listen to the resonance of the exercise.
  • A glass of water so that you may drink something in between.
  • A keyboard so you can ask questions.
  • A PC is more suitable than an iPad or smartphone

You have access to the English and German webinars

The English webinar is on Mondays at 7 p.m., the German webinar at 5 p.m. Your registration is valid for both webinars. This way you are more flexible during the time and can, if necessary, switch to the webinar in another language. You also get access to the replays in both languages.

Cost and link to the webinar

The webinar costs € 50.- (reduced € 35.-). If that is too much for you, write an email and you will get access for the amount that is right for you.

Immediately after registering and two hours before the webinar you will receive a direct link to the webinar. It is the same for all webinars in this series.

Part 1: Health for the Heart

The heart is the most comprehensive human sense organ. The blood flows through this mysterious hollow muscle, laden with the soul experiences of the organs of the abdominal cavity and those of the senses and thoughts of the head. The heart has to bring these worlds of experience into harmony. That's not always easy.

Everything is reversed in the heart. Right to the left, bottom to top, back to front. In the heart the blood comes to rest, becomes heavy and thick. Immediately afterwards, it experiences its resurrection in the atmosphere of the lungs.

Worries that stream to the heart can be transformed into love there. This is a mental activity that warms our blood. The heart develops the ability to forgive and to heal and is the organ of giving. The heart is the place where we experience freedom. Whoever learns to see or to listen with the heart will recognize the spirit in every thing.

Working method

The regeneration and strengthening of the heart always takes place from the circulation, from the rhythm, from the play of polarities. We will practise that in many variations in this webinar. We practise large and small movements, execute exercises in walking, doing and listening alternately. Just as the heart needs to do. At the end of the lesson there is an opportunity to ask questions. With this webinar you get a fund of movement exercises that will help you to support your heart in its diverse tasks and to give it the relief it needs to bloom, shine and give.

Part 2: Eurythmic request concert

Eurythmy is so diverse. We can explore and get to know this universe together. Experience has shown that this method of working is very pleasant and invigorating. Unpredictable, but deep!

Working method

The chat will be activated 10 minutes before the start of the webinar and your wishes will be collected. It can be:

  • questions about the heart exercises from the previous lessons,
  • a general question we could work on
  • a eurythmical element like a sound, a gesture,
  • a sequence of sounds or a word,
  • a sentence or a short meditation,
  • a health concern.

You choose three questions by voting. Theodor looks for an eurythmical answer and practices that with you.

Current information: Corona virus and heart

The infection with the coronavirus COVID-19 is a disease of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. The infection occurs primarily via the mucous membranes in the facial area (eyes, nose, mouth) and from there quickly penetrates into the alveolar space of the lungs. The infection comes about when the virus binds to the ACE2 receptor, which normally has a protective function for the cardiovascular system. The viral infection weakens this system. In anthroposophic medicine it is called the rhythmic system. This system has a central regulating and balancing role in the human organism, between the head-centered nervous-sense system, which is close to our consciousness, on the one hand, and the metabolic-limb system, which is centered below the diaphragm, on the other.

In the replays of our webinar Eurythmy therapy exercises to strengthen resilience from spring 2020 you will find detailed instructions for five eurythmy therapy exercises, which make the rhythmic system more resistant and strengthen the elasticity of the immune system.
