Quincunx and Yod, the Finger of God
Quincunx
A Quincunx (in-conjunct) describes conflicting energies between zodiac signs. It causes us challenges, to redirect, revisit, and make changes. It is different than a square or opposition because it is a different element and a different mode (i.e. Aries: cardinal/fire vs. Virgo: mutable/earth) There is very little in common and so this is the challenge to modify or reorient our perspective in a significant way.
- to balance the energies you need to see the strength in the other especially when we seem to have nothing in common with the other.
- the beauty lies in its potential for growth and adaptation- it is awkward and uncomfortable but can encourage us to make adjustments and come to a deeper understanding of ourselves
Yod : the finger of God
A pair of quincunx is called Yod (Aries: Virgo & Scorpio) – now there is more balance because each mode is represented (Aries - cardinal, Virgo - mutable, Scorpio - fixed) so it can bring more balance to our soul life and again encourage a new configuration of adapting our thinking, feeling and willing.
Facing difficult people
In our course, working with the Eurythmy gestures and discovering their mutual relationships between a sign and its two Quincunxes can reveal healing forces, which we will explore in the meetings and afterwards in our homework in daily life.
